Privacy

This page explains, plainly, what happens to your information when you visit ashcloudcreative.com or submit an email address through one of its forms.

What we collect

The only personal information this site collects is what you choose to give us: your email address, and — if you use the contact form — your name. We don't use analytics, tracking pixels or advertising cookies of any kind, so we don't collect browsing data about you.

Where it's stored

Ashcloud keeps its own record of signups in a private database (hosted with Supabase, on Postgres) that we own and control directly — this is the primary place your information lives, not a marketing company's. We separately, and optionally, try to sync your email to Kit, the email-sending tool we use to actually deliver emails — but Kit is never where your information is first saved, and a problem with Kit never affects whether your download or enquiry goes through.

Signup records are kept for as long as your account with us is active — in practice, until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it (see below). If we ever change which company sends our emails (for example, moving from Kit to another provider), only the records of people who actively opted in to marketing emails would be carried across.

Downloads vs. marketing emails

Requesting a free download (like Notice Again) or getting in touch is not the same as signing up for marketing emails. Wherever the two are separate, you'll see an unticked checkbox for occasional creative updates — left unchecked, you still get exactly what you asked for, nothing more. We record whether that box was ticked, when, and the exact wording you saw, so we can always show what you actually agreed to.

The contact form's company and project details are never sent to or stored on our servers at all: submitting the form opens your own email app with your message pre-filled, addressed directly to hello@ashcloudcreative.com, so that content only ever travels through your own email account to ours.

Unsubscribing and deletion

Every marketing email from Ashcloud includes an unsubscribe link. You can leave at any time, no explanation needed — unsubscribing stops future emails and is recorded against your signup, without deleting the fact you were once a subscriber. If you'd like your record removed entirely, email us (see Questions below) and we'll delete it.

Local storage

A few pages (like Idea Cloud) save your in-progress work on your own device using your browser's local storage, so it isn't lost if you close the tab. This stays on your device and isn't sent to us unless you choose to submit it.

Questions

If you have any questions about this, or want your information removed, email hello@ashcloudcreative.com.
